Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SSEIT)

The Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SSEIT) is one of the most widely used and reliable self-report tools for emotional intelligence (typical reliability Cronbach's α ≈ 0.87–0.90). It is based on the original model of Salovey & Mayer (1990) and consists of 33 questions.
Beyond the total score, the answers are grouped into four subscales (after Petrides & Furnham, 2000): (1) Perception of emotions, (2) Managing our own emotions, (3) Managing others' emotions, and (4) Harnessing emotions.
Instruction: “Read each statement and choose how much you agree that it describes you, in general.”
The translation of the questions was made for educational and informational use. This is not a standardized Greek version, and the results are intended for self-awareness only.
These questionnaires are self-observation tools and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis by a psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
