Mindfulness Scale
The Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) by Brown and Ryan (2003) measures mindfulness as the tendency to be attentive and aware of the present — as opposed to operating on “autopilot.” It is freely available for non-commercial and clinical use. The questions describe moments of inattention; the more rarely they happen to you, the higher your mindfulness.
These questionnaires are self-observation tools and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis by a psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
