Meaning in Life — Presence & Search

The Meaning in Life Questionnaire (Steger, Frazier, Oishi & Kaler, 2006) distinguishes two dimensions: the “Presence” of meaning (how much meaning you feel now) and the “Search” for meaning (how actively you seek it). It's a central concept in existential psychotherapy. Instruction: “How true is each statement for you?” A self-observation tool, not a diagnosis.

These questionnaires are self-observation tools and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis by a psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
