Perfectionism & the Need for Approval (People-Pleasing)
Perfectionism and Need-for-Approval Questionnaire
A self-exploration tool based on common patterns from the clinical literature on perfectionism (Frost et al.) and approval-seeking behavior (people-pleasing/sociotropy).
It explores two patterns that often coexist and fuel anxiety and exhaustion:
1. Perfectionism: high, rigid standards and harsh self-criticism when they aren't met.
2. People-pleasing: the tendency to systematically put others' needs above our own, out of fear of rejection or conflict.
⚠️ This version is intended solely for educational and self-awareness use. It is not a psychological assessment or diagnosis.
These questionnaires are self-observation tools and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis by a psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
