Worry Questionnaire (Penn State)
The Penn State Worry Questionnaire (Meyer, Miller, Metzger & Borkovec, 1990) is the most widely used tool for chronic, generalized worry — what many call “overthinking.” It measures how often, how intensely, and how uncontrollably you worry.
Instruction: “Choose how typical each statement is of you, in general.” This is a self-observation tool, not a diagnosis.
These questionnaires are self-observation tools and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis by a psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
